Consultation and Training Services

Individual consultation available for single or ongoing sessions

Standard sliding scale rates of $125 to $225 a session

*Reduced fee sliding scale rates $50+ a session

(2 reduced fee consultation slots a month are available for providers)

Consultation sessions are 50 minutes virtually through the Sessions Health video platform. Consultation includes and is not limited to time for me to get to know you and your practice, providing material and didactic education about specific communities and modalities, reviewing best practices, exploring transference and countertransference, guidance in consulting with care providers such as PCPs, surgeons and caregivers, guidance in exploring clients’ goals, treatment plans, and treatment efficacy, assessing for substance use and determining readiness for change, establishing informed consent, increasing the therapeutic voice, authenticity and confidence, follow up consultation as needed, etc. Consultation is different from therapy for providers however we do want to make space to discuss your mental and physical health and how to be a therapist during this tenuous time in history.

My Experience Providing Consultation and Trainings

Education: I hold a Masters Degree in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Portland State University, and am currently licensed in the states of CA and OR as a LCSW.

Training History: In 2016, I began providing mental health and substance use trainings specific to the 2SLGBTQIPA+ community. I have had the honor of providing private trainings to small groups and larger presentations to organizations such as UCSF, SFDPH, UC Berkeley, Stanford, RAMS, Haymarket Center, and more.

Consultation: In 2019, I began providing group facilitator trainings for practicum students, and consultation group facilitation for UCSF staff. In 2024, I expanded to private practice and began providing individual and group consultations services.

Substance Use Specific History: At UCSF Alliance Health Project I collaborated in program development, implementation, and workflow improvement of their Medi-Cal funded outpatient substance services, as well as provided direct clinical care, clinical support for staff and clinical documentation review.

Trans/ Gender Expansive Specific History: My specific experience with gender affirming practice includes direct client services, research and trainings: I conducted research with Gender Health Services at SFDPH from 2016-2017 exploring clients’s gender affirming care surgery satisfaction; I was involved in the SOGI committee at SFDPH implementing Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity demographic tracking for SFDPH clients to better assess service needs; I have provided multiple gender affirming care trainings to Berkeley, UCSF and Stanford mental health and medical students, interns and providers since 2016; and, have provided direct client care, assessment and evaluation for clients obtaining gender affirming surgeries from 2017 through present.

Pre-therapist History: Before obtaining my masters degree, I worked as a residential counselor in a youth crisis shelter and have been involved in various aspects of community activism since 2010. In 2011, I began providing Trans 101 trainings to the community.
