My Experience Providing Consultation and Trainings

In my current private practice I facilitate a peer consultation group for licensed providers and provide both ongoing and as needed individual consultation services.

I hold a Masters Degree in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Portland State University, and am currently licensed in the state of CA as an LCSW. I have been providing therapy to 2LGBTQIAP+, HIV+, Poly, Kinky, People with Disabilities, Sex Workers, and Substance Using communities since 2017.

From 2016 thru the present I have provided trainings spanning various topics of providing mental health and substance use therapy and support to 2LGBTQIPA+ folx. I have presented at UCSF, SFDPH, UC Berkeley, Stanford, RAMS, Haymarket Center, and more.

I began providing hands on group co-facilitator trainings for practicum students, and supported consultation group facilitation for staff beginning in 2019, and expanded to individual private practice provider consultations in 2024.

My specific experience with gender affirming practice includes direct client services, research and trainings: I conducted research with Gender Health Services at SFDPH from 2016-2017 exploring clients’s gender affirming care surgery satisfaction; I was involved in the SOGI committee at SFDPH implementing Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity demographic tracking for SFDPH clients to better assess service needs; I have provided multiple gender affirming care trainings to Berkeley, UCSF and Stanford mental health and medical students, interns and providers since 2016; and, have provided direct client care, assessment and evaluation for clients obtaining gender affirming surgeries from 2017 through present.

Before obtaining my masters degree, I worked as a residential counselor in a youth crisis shelter and have been involved in various aspects of community activism since 2010.
